I often use an analogy to talk about counseling/therapy. We need a brace or splint to help us with a broken bone. Similarly, therapy can be a support to help us and guide our healing/journey. I work with people on their journey toward greater mental fitness and healing.

I usually work with teens, adults, and elders on various topics. I provide private pay telehealth services only at this time. I am also an EMDRIA consultant-in-training and can help you achieve EMDRIA certification.

I have training in Attachment Theory and trauma healing. I am EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) certified to provide EMDR and an EMDR consultant-in-training with EMDRIA. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have foundational training in Somatic Abolitionism with Resmaa Menakem. Additionally, I am certified by the Center for Credentialing and Education as a telemental health provider (BC-TMH). And I am certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC).

 

If interested, I attended Washington University in St. Louis and obtained my Bachelor’s in Political Science with a minor in Women's Studies in 2000. While working in higher education, I increased my business knowledge in 2007, earning a Master’s in Business Administration. After some years in management, I earned my Master of Science in Counseling/ Community Counseling from the University of Phoenix’s (Phoenix Campus) CACREP-accredited program in 2012. I am currently enrolled in doctoral studies integrating behavioral and mental health with primary care at Arizona State University.
