“If we climb high enough, we will reach a height from which tragedy ceases to look tragic.”
― Irvin D. Yalom
Hello and welcome! In my current approach to therapy, I integrate person-centered, multicultural, and psychodynamic approaches to create a holistic and client-centered therapeutic experience. I believe in tailoring the therapeutic experience to each individual, acknowledging that we all have unique experiences, cultural backgrounds, and emotional complexities that shape who we are. With a genuine interest and commitment to fostering personal growth and well-being, I prioritize creating a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I value each individual’s cultural background and aim to help them understand and resolve deeper issues, promoting personal growth and self-discovery in a culturally sensitive manner.
Throughout my clinical experience in the behavioral health field, I have worked with a range of populations including individuals with serious mental illness, as well as young adults and adults who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+. I have experience in treating issues related to stress, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief, and familial/relationship concerns. I am excited to continue to be working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and hope to uplift the voices of those in marginalized communities.
I am a graduate student at Arizona State University, where I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Counseling (MC). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Korean from Arizona State University in 2022. Currently, I am working under the supervision of Dr. Sophia Murphy, DBH, LPC, CPT, SXI. As an intern, I am committed to continuous learning and growth to support clients in navigating their personal challenges and aspirations. My goal is to empower clients to explore and achieve their fullest potential!
